Pointing a domain to the correct server and getting an application to run are separate checks, so describe the result you observe instead of simply saying that the website is down.

• State the application, PHP version, and control panel if applicable. Include the browser error, HTTP status code, and whether the problem is constant or happens only occasionally.
• If the issue followed an update, note the plugin, theme, or setting that changed. Remove database passwords and other secret values before sharing configuration snippets or logs.
• For DNS and SSL issues, explain which hostname you tested and when the last change was made. Check caching, the actual DNS record, and the names covered by the certificate separately.
• When moving a website, plan for the database, email, and DNS as well as the files. Validate the new environment before switching traffic and keep a usable backup for recovery.
