Set up an email account and client
First identify which provider receives email for your domain. Your website can be hosted at DCHost while email is hosted elsewhere. Creating a new mailbox is not a reason to replace working MX records.
Create the mailbox
Open email accounts in your service control panel. Choose the correct domain and create an account with a strong, unique password. Check its quota. In cPanel, the connection or device configuration screen beside the account provides server names and ports. Use those values rather than assuming an example mail.domain address is correct.
Connect your email application
Add the account on your phone or desktop. IMAP is usually appropriate when several devices access the same mailbox. Enter the encrypted connection type, port and username shown by the panel for incoming and outgoing servers. Enable SMTP authentication. If a certificate warning appears, check the server name instead of disabling verification.
Check DNS and delivery
When changing mail providers, use the MX values supplied by the new provider. Do not create multiple SPF records for one domain; combine authorized senders in a single policy. Publish the DKIM key supplied by the provider. Plan your DMARC policy after identifying all legitimate sending sources.
Send a message to an external address and receive a reply from it. Successful sending does not prove that incoming mail works. For a failure, provide the time, recipient domain and delivery error code in a support ticket. Never publish passwords, private message contents or access details in community posts. If migrating older mail, compare folder contents and message counts after the new account is working.
