Upgrading your hosting plan

Before upgrading, identify the resource that is insufficient. Storage, CPU, memory, concurrent processes and database load are different constraints. A slow site does not always require a larger plan; error logs or a heavy plugin may explain the problem.

Measure the requirement

Record usage from the control panel and the times when problems occur. Check the plan comparison to confirm that the new plan increases the resource you need. List required PHP extensions or server access features as well. Include your service identifier and measured requirement in a support ticket.

Review the HostBill offer

Open the plan change options for the service in the customer portal. If no option is available, confirm an appropriate upgrade with support. Before accepting, check the amount payable now, new renewal amount, currency and billing period. Do not calculate the cost solely from a promotion for new orders.

Plan the change

Confirm whether the change stays within the same account and whether migration, an IP change or downtime is needed. Take a current copy of important data. If migration is required, follow the migration checklist and plan the final data transfer and DNS change. Do not assume every product upgrade completes instantly.

Verify the result

Check the new plan and renewal details in the portal, then confirm the new limits in the control panel. Test the website, email and scheduled tasks. Repeat the original usage measurement under comparable traffic. If the problem persists, share the before and after observations with support so that you can identify the cause before considering another upgrade.
