Getting started with hosting

Before starting, have your domain name, order number and application requirements ready. The customer portal handles orders, invoices and support. The hosting control panel manages files, databases and email. These systems do not necessarily use the same password or access method.

Account creation and access

Open the HostBill customer portal. Use your existing account if you already have one; do not create another account for the same service. New customers can complete registration during the order process. Check your email address carefully so that you can receive order and recovery messages. If you have forgotten your password, use the portal password reset option.

Verify service readiness

Check the service name, domain, status and invoice. A completed payment and a completed technical setup are separate stages. If access information is not yet available, open a support ticket before placing the same order again. Obtain the server IP and nameservers for DNS changes from the information for your own service.

Open the control panel

Open the relevant service in the portal and follow the control panel link provided there. Do not copy cPanel access details from another customer or an old tutorial example. Confirm the domain, disk usage and PHP version required by your application. See the control panel guide for files, databases and SSL.

Publish and verify

Prepare your application for a new site. For an existing site, follow the migration guide first. Then update DNS records to match your service. Test the homepage, sign-in, contact forms, outbound email and HTTPS. If a check fails, include the domain, time and error message in a support ticket, without passwords.
